Why Finding the Right Practitioner Matters
There’s no shortage of people offering healing work right now.
Energy work, hypnosis, body-based therapies, coaching, frequency devices… it’s all more accessible than it’s ever been.
And while that’s a good thing, it can also make it harder to know where to go and who to trust, because not all practitioners are the same.
And more importantly, not every practitioner is the right fit for you.
It’s not just about the modality
A lot of people get caught up trying to figure out which method is “best.”
QHHT, past life regression, energy work, body-based modalities… they start comparing techniques like one is going to magically be better than the other.
But honestly, what matters more than the modality is who is guiding you through it.
The same exact technique can feel completely different depending on the person holding the space.
One can feel calm, safe, and easy to drop into.
Another can feel rushed, disconnected, or even overwhelming.
That difference isn’t the method, it’s the practitioner.
Your body knows before your mind does
You don’t always need to logically figure it out. Most of the time, your body already knows.
You might notice you feel a little more relaxed around someone. Or like you can actually exhale. Or like you don’t have to “perform” or say the right thing.
That matters.
If your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, it won’t fully open—no matter how good the technique is.
Not everyone is meant to work with everyone
This is something people don’t talk about enough.
A practitioner can be experienced, trained, and great at what they do… and still not be the right fit for you.
And that’s okay.
We all hold space differently. We all communicate differently. We all work at different depths.
The right fit is less about credentials and more about how your system responds to them.
What to pay attention to
You don’t need to overthink this, but there are a few things worth noticing.
Do you feel safe and not judged?
Do they explain things in a way that actually makes sense to you?
Do they meet you where you are, instead of trying to push you somewhere you’re not ready for?
Those things matter more than anything else.
A good practitioner knows when to go deeper and when not to
This is a big one.
Real work doesn’t happen when you’re pushed too fast. It happens when your body feels ready.
A good practitioner can feel that.
They know when to go deeper, when to slow things down, and when your system needs more support before going further.
This is about creating something that actually holds afterward, and less about just “having an experience”.
Trust goes both ways
The practitioner matters, but so do you.
Your openness, your honesty, your willingness to actually look at what’s coming up… that’s part of the process too. The best sessions happen when both sides are showing up— when you feel safe enough to be real, and the person you’re working with can hold that without judgment.
Because of that, there’s no need to rush into working with anyone.
Take your time. Pay attention to how you feel. That matters more than anything you read on a website or any list of credentials.
The right practitioner won’t just offer a service. They’ll create a space where you can actually relax, open up, and allow things to shift in a way that feels natural and supported.
And when you find that, you’ll know.
